Karen’s Journey

I get asked all the time by women in their late 30s, 40s and 50s about how age can affect goals like fat loss and muscle gain…

It will certainly will make things harder, and everyone’s experience will be different. However, significant change is still very much possible!

Karen’s body transformation between the age of 50-55 is about as impressive as any I’ve seen anywhere, and her progress in strength and performance in the gym continues to impress me week on week.

However the best part of this story is that these results are now being maintained while still enjoying her food, training and social lifestyle.

There’s a lot that goes into building this level of sustainability, but here are two key aspects that have played massively into Karen’s success:

1. Clear & Flexible Nutrition Structure. We’re never ‘on a meal plan’ instead we have a simple structure that is set up to hit appropriate nutrient targets for the goals, but is also easily adapted to accommodate lifestyle fluctuations.

2. Actually Enjoying the Training.
The secret to staying in great shape is actually enjoying your workouts. With Karen we’ve achieved this by creating performance goals rather than just ‘do 3 sets of 10’.

Whether we’re working towards more push ups, heavier deadlifts or handstand press ups the training always has a greater purpose in mind. We’re always building towards something which leads to harder workouts and progressive improvements.
